Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 14, 2025

By purchasing a product or service from Your Explainer Video, you agree to the following terms. These apply to all custom video projects, including those purchased through our website and those developed through direct consultation.

1. Services Provided

We create custom explainer videos and related creative services tailored to each client. Services may include scripting, voiceover production, animation, visual design, audio mixing, and file formatting. Project scope and deliverables will be outlined at the time of purchase or in a custom proposal. We reserve the right to update our service offerings at any time.

2. Payment & Refund Policy

All payments are due in full upfront unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Because each project is custom-made, refunds are not available once production has begun. If a project is canceled before production begins, we may offer a refund at our discretion.

3. Project Timeline

Turnaround time will be provided at the start of each project and depends on the complexity of the work and client responsiveness. Delays in providing feedback, approvals, or required materials may impact delivery timelines.

4. Revisions

Each project includes a set number of revisions, which will be outlined in your package or proposal. Revisions must be requested within 7 calendar days of receiving a draft. Requests beyond the included number of revisions may incur additional fees.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide clear direction, timely feedback, and all required assets (e.g., logos, brand colors, product details) before or during the production process. Clients are responsible for ensuring that provided materials do not infringe on any third-party rights.

6. Delivery Format

Final videos are delivered digitally in standard .mp4 format unless another format is specified in advance. Alternative versions (e.g., vertical, square, captioned, or source files) may be included depending on the project. We do not permanently store final files; please download and store them upon receipt.

7. Licensing & Usage

You receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the final delivered video for your business or organization. This includes use on websites, social media, advertising, internal platforms, and presentations. You may not resell, license, redistribute, or use the video for another company or brand without written permission. Unless specifically included in your project scope, editable project files (e.g., .aep, .prproj) remain our property. Use of licensed third-party assets (such as music and stock footage) is restricted to the final delivered video only.

8. Portfolio Use

We reserve the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio and promotional materials unless you request otherwise in writing prior to delivery. If the video is confidential or under NDA, please let us know at the beginning of the project.

9. Limitation of Liability

Your Explainer Video is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our services or any delay in project delivery. Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service or deliverable in question.

10. Privacy & Data Collection

We collect only the personal information necessary to complete your project and communicate with you effectively. This may include your name, email address, business name, billing address, and project details. We do not share your information with third parties except as required to complete your project (e.g., voiceover talent, contractors working under NDA). We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will delete or provide access to your stored data upon request.
