Video Licensing & Usage Terms
Video Licensing & Usage Terms
Effective Date: April 14, 2025
These terms apply to all videos and creative assets produced by Your Explainer Video. By purchasing or commissioning a project, you agree to the following licensing and usage guidelines.
What You’re Allowed to Do
You receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the final delivered video for your own business or organization. This includes using the video on your website, social media channels, paid advertisements, email campaigns, presentations, investor materials, and internal training.
You may display the video publicly, embed it on third-party platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, and promote it as part of your brand's content strategy.
If we deliver multiple versions (such as square or vertical formats), those are also covered under this same license.
What You’re Not Allowed to Do
You may not sell, transfer, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the video or its components to another person, brand, or organization.
You may not use the video in connection with unlawful content or for a business other than the one that originally commissioned it unless you have purchased an extended license with written approval.
If you plan to use the video in multiple businesses, as a white-label solution, or as part of a reseller agreement, you must contact us to discuss custom licensing terms.
Ownership of Project Files and Assets
You own the final rendered video file for use as described above. We retain ownership of the raw project files such as After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, or layered design files unless they are specifically included in your project scope or purchased as an add-on.
Scripts written specifically for your project are considered your property once delivered.
Any third-party assets such as voiceovers, music, or stock footage are licensed for use within your final delivered video only. If you plan to use these assets in other projects or edits, additional licensing may be required.
Revisions and Alterations
You are free to crop, trim, or caption the final video. However, editing the underlying animation or replacing elements within the video may violate music or stock licensing agreements unless you have access to the original project files and the appropriate extended rights.
Please contact us before making significant changes to confirm licensing compliance.
Portfolio Display
Unless requested otherwise in writing, we reserve the right to feature your completed video in our portfolio, pitch decks, and social media to showcase the work. If your project is confidential or under NDA, let us know before production begins.
